Tone of voice

A person's tone can imply a lot.  A person that is angry, usually sounds angry.  If a person is asked something in an unfriendly tone, the response will most likely be negative.  A person who is pre-occupied may ask a question sounding dis-interested.  If an employee is giving a presentation to a client with no enthusiasm, chances are the clients won't be enthused.

It is important when speaking that your tone is:
interesting
not too low
not too high
not sarcastic
not angry

A tone can bring a completely different meaning to a person's words without them even realizing it.

There's a reason your mom probably said "don't use that tone with me"!

It is not what you say, but how you say it!
